Selenium
Selenium is a powerful
antioxidant that protects vitamin E from degradation. It supports the immune system by destroying free radicals,
and aids in the production of antibodies. It is helpful in stroke prevention. It is a component of glutathione
peroxidase, protecting tissues from the effects of polyunsaturated fatty acid oxidation. Helps protect against
arsenic, cadmium and mercury toxicity, and radiation poisoning. Helpful for cystic fibrosis, arthritis, retinal
edema, retinal vascular leakage, stroke. Selenium is absorbed through the intestines and stored in the liver,
kidney's, and muscles.
