Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid is present in every tissue of the body, with the highest concentrations occurring in connective tissues like skin and cartilage. Hyaluronic acid has been shown to hold on to more water than any other molecule in the body.which is vital in the production/maintenance of collagen and cartilage. Our skin is made up of 70% water, and hyaluronic acid promotes cellular renewal and structure.

This nutrient is ideal for protecting the more aqueous parts of the body, such as joints (the synovial fluid inside them), heart valves and the vitreous humor of your eyes. Hyaluronic acid gel has also been reported as effective in tightening loose teeth (caused by early-stage gingival problems) when applied to the gums. However, all traces of the causes of such loosening, I.e., gum infection, must be eliminated before topical hyaluronic treatment can be effective. This treatment cannot help in cases where extensive bone resorption has already taken place.
